March 30th 2019 JC Angelcraft – As I read about the past, I remember about what once was seemingly endless series of articles of hopelessness for Africans during the 60s. Extreme racism is a bully and no one knows this better than Africa.
And so this is the sovereignty of God that before men and systems of extreme racism are judged, men are allowed long periods of time to stop the kinds of things like those that occurred in Africa during the 60s, before the 60s and after the 60s.
Today in history 1960 a state of emergency was proclaimed in South Africa by Prime Minister Hendrik Verwoerd at 3:00 a.m., nine days after he ordered the Sharpeville Massacre and the government began arresting dissidents. There was apparently no provocation which is why it is called a massacre.
On the same day, thirty thousand people are said to have marched through Cape Town in protest of Apartheid, white supremacy, the massacre and the arrest of its leaders. Men of white supremacy work to have such situtations to take advantage of and to further their cause.
Hendrik Frensch Verwoerd was a South African politician, an extreme racists and a specialists in extreme racism. A journalist for his own cause, Verwoerd wrote his own articles. As leader of South Africa’s extreme racists National Party he served as the last prime minister of the Union of South Africa from 1958 until 1961.
In his prose, Verwoerd characterised the murderous and brutal system of apartheid as merely “good-neighbourliness.”
Verwoerd decisions were widely condemned and his style considered to extreme racism and he was given protection, a police and military and room to operate in South Africa.
Decisions that Prime Minister Verwoerd made in the areas of legislation, law enforcement and public policy caused many of the citizens of South Africa to be disenfranchised, lose civil rights, and suffer discrimination.
Verwoerd heavily repressed anti-apartheid activism, ordering the detention and imprisonment of tens of thousands of people and the exile of further thousands, while greatly empowering, modernizing and enlarging the white supremacy security forces and army.
What is not known about Verwoerd is how many people he succeeded in killing. He was an expert in white supremacy and a specialist and killed many people.
During his life he helped to ban and suppress political organizations such as the African National Congress (ANC) and the Pan Africanist Congress (PAC). These were banned under Verwoerd, and ANC leaders including Nelson Mandela were jailed and prosecuted.
Today 2019 there are still people who secretly desire a return to this hostile brutality and its not just limited to Africa. Extreme racism by many names and forms happened in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Islands, Latin America and even in Canada. God’s judgment of this world is just and true.
